Silicone rubber heaters are made of glass fiber reinforced silicone rubber for moisture and chemical resistance. Silicone rubber heater elements are thin and flexible and are designed to meet the requirements of a variety of low and medium temperature applications requiring irregular shapes, sizes and dimensions. Silicon heaters are known for their unique and pliable properties that can withstand mechanical shock and vibration. Silicon heaters have unique qualities such as high dielectric strength, non-toxicity and flame retardancy. Silicon heaters consist of two "silicon wafers" with a heating resistor sandwiched between them. Thermostat control is an option used to help achieve the target temperature. Teflon leads lead from any location of your choice and are available in any length you need. Ideal for applications requiring direct heat such as surfaces, drums, cones, and cylinders and small areas where conventional electric heating elements cannot fit. Adhesive backing is also available to aid in fastening. Silicon heaters are used in applications requiring temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, such as freeze protection for electrical enclosures.
